Geoffrey Rush and Jai Courtney (Suicide Squad) join the new version of The Pelican, which is based on Colin Dilley's novel of the same name, which was adapted into a film by director Henry Sevran in 1976. The film revolves around a story of friendship and love on the Australian coast. Directed by Sean Syt (Australian drama Deepwater 3), the film will use a combination of live-action and 3-D computer animation. Filming will start in July.
