Set in the Joseon Dynasty, the film tells the story of how the Joseon army helped the Ming Dynasty resist the Qing Dynasty but was defeated during the 11 years of King Gwanghaegun's reign, and the three survivors of the war subsequently engaged in a desperate bloody battle with the pursuing Qing army.
