When influential Chinese artist Ma Liang discovers his accomplished father, Peking Opera director Ma Ke, is suffering from Alzheimer’s disease, he invites him to collaborate on his most ambitious project: an unforgettable, magical, autobiographical pantomime featuring a life-size mechanical puppet called “Father’s Time Machine.” By creating this play together, the two men confront death before their lives slip away and their memories fade forever.
