Plot:
In 1891, Paul Gauguin, a post-impressionist master, was already well-known in the art circle of Paris, but he was tired of the hypocrisy and affectation of civilized society. His desire for the primitive world drove him to leave his wife and children at home and come to Tahiti in the South Pacific; he was ready to sacrifice everything for the natural, wild, pure life and creative environment he had been pursuing for a long time. Enduring economic poverty and spiritual loneliness, Gauguin went deep into the jungle, met the local Maori people, and met the aboriginal girl Dhura; a triangle relationship also slowly emerged. This distant island seemed to be the homeland of his soul. The vibrant faces and landscape lines here became his muse, inspiring him to create the most iconic masterpieces in his artistic career.
