The film is adapted from the novel of the same name by Gen Araki. It tells the story of a young high school teacher who loves classical music and joins an amateur symphony orchestra composed entirely of elderly people. In the orchestra, she not only challenges herself to play the violin, but also picks up the baton and becomes the conductor of the orchestra when the situation suddenly changes.
