Paul, an old man living in a rural area in southern France, suddenly welcomed three uninvited guests during a summer vacation - his granddaughter and grandson from Paris. The difference in cognition and the years of estrangement with his daughter made it difficult for Paul to get along with the three young people. The grandparents and grandchildren fought back and forth, and the grandmother kept mediating. Unknowingly, the emotional distance between Paul and his grandchildren was shortened.
