An outspoken American journalist (Jim Caviezel) is kidnapped by the Iranian regime while attending a conference in Cairo, Egypt. He is subsequently taken to the Middle East and put on trial on false charges. His wife, a State Department official, tries to use her influence to get the U.S. government involved so they can get her husband back. But she quickly realizes that the U.S. government won't get involved. So, she is forced to travel to the Middle East on her own to find him.
