Plot:
British actor Dan Stevens will play the great British writer Charles Dickens in the new film "The Man Who Invented Christmas". The film is based on the book of the same name by Les Standiford, and the screenwriter is Susan Coyne of the TV series "Mozart in the Jungle". "The Man Who Invented Christmas" is based on Dickens' six-week experience in writing the novel "A Christmas Carol" in 1843. Christopher Plummer will play the prototype of the novel's male protagonist "Scrooge", and Jonathan Pryce will play Dickens' father.
