Based on the non-fiction "The Long Prison Journey of Leslie van Houten: Life Beyond The Cult" by Karlene Faith and the novel "The Family" by Ed Sanders, it tells the story that after the Manson murders that shocked the world, three members of the Manson Family, Leslie Van Houten, Patricia Krenwinkel and Susan Atkins, were sentenced to life imprisonment. Graduate student Faith was sent to the prison to teach them, and the three will re-examine the nightmarish crimes.
