According to director Paul Haggis, the film is similar in structure to Crash, but it interweaves three love lines, and the story takes place in three cities, New York, Paris and Rome, in a very peculiar way. Liam Neeson plays a journalist, and Olivia Wilde plays a New York gossip columnist. The other actors have not yet been cast.
