The 1981 fantasy comedy "Time Bandits" was adapted into a TV series, with Taika Waititi ("Thor 3" and "Hunt for the Wilderpeople") directing and writing the first episode. The film was directed by Terry Gilliam and starred John Cleese, Sean Connery and others. It tells the crazy story of British teenager Kevin crossing multiple dimensions. He found a time hole in his closet. Six dwarfs came out of the hole and took Kevin on a series of adventures through history. They stopped in ancient Greece, the Middle Ages, the Napoleonic era and the early 20th century. Before reaching the ultimate dark fortress, they encountered evil things.
