Plot:
The story tells that the 1970 Miss World beauty pageant was an international event watched by billions of viewers around the world. A newly formed feminist organization believed that beauty pageants were degrading to women, so they strongly opposed it. They even rushed onto the stage in full view of the public during the competition, disrupting and hindering the competition. Although they were immediately kicked out and the competition continued, a scene that touched the audience's nerves was staged immediately: the winner of the night was not the popular Miss Sweden, but Jennifer Hosten from the West Indies island country of Grenada, who became the first black woman to win in history as a dark horse. In just one hour, the global audience witnessed patriarchy being openly challenged and Western aesthetics being completely subverted. A beauty pageant turned up a thousand waves and also laid a beautiful battle for the feminist movement.
