Plot:
Niu Xiaobo (Bao Beier) was born in a family of coffin makers, and several generations have made a living by making coffins. Because of a bizarre accident when he was a child, Xiaobo lost his "smile" forever. No matter how happy he was, he couldn't laugh. He was called a weirdo by people. Fortunately, he had been living in his rural hometown in the past few years, and he himself didn't think it was a big deal that he couldn't laugh. Xiaobo, who had grown up, decided to walk out of the mountains and go out into the world. However, although the outside world was wonderful, he was helpless. He originally wanted to leave his hometown coffin shop to find a decent job, but he eventually went to work in the funeral home, which made him somewhat lost. As time went on, Xiaobo experienced the other side of life in the funeral home, witnessed the true state of various families when their loved ones turned into a wisp of smoke, and understood the taste of life that he had not realized before...
