The film begins with the conflict between the two families of Humar and Hadisha caused by an accident. It interprets the life of the grassland migration over the past 40 years and the emotional journey of the characters. It tells the story of the Chinese Kazakh herdsmen who have lived by following water and grass for generations, and the tremendous changes in their lives after the reform and opening up.
