Roy Kris Marter (Jim Carrey) and his best friend Harry Dunn (Jeff Daniels) are a pair of stupid buddies. Not only do they have low IQs, they can't find jobs. Once, Roy got a temporary job and drove the modern girl Mary Swanson (Lauren Holly) to the airport. Roy fell in love with Mary at first sight, but the two had different identities. Mary boarded the plane and Roy found that Mary had forgotten a suitcase in the airport terminal. So, in order to pursue true love, Roy decided to drive with Harry to the destination of the plane mentioned by Mary. He not only wanted to return the suitcase, but also wanted to pursue Mary. But the suitcase didn't seem so simple. A group of gangsters targeted the suitcase and tried to kill Roy and others. However, Roy had an unusual IQ and escaped the disaster by accident. Can the two idiots reach their destination? A silly and happy journey begins.
