Rick is a 30-something European doctor who is desperate for a vacation and sets off on a journey to Gibraltar. But her dream vacation is quickly shattered. After a storm, she finds a battered refugee boat nearby. The overloaded boat is leaking, and if she doesn't lend a hand, more than a hundred people will drown. Despite this unpleasant series of events, she experiences friendship, gratitude, and solidarity firsthand in the little time she has left.
