Adapted from Tetsuya Asada's novel "Mahjong Hōrōki", which was made into a movie by director Makoto Wada, with Hiroyuki Sanada playing the protagonist. This time, the story is set in the future of 2020, when the population is reduced, workers are replaced by AI, the streets are full of unemployed people and the elderly, and the Tokyo Olympics are cancelled, instead of the post-war period after Japan's defeat.
