The story of the film takes place in Boston. Barnes plays Nick, an Italian-American young man who joins the Boston Mafia with great ambitions, determined to start a business, but finds that this criminal organization is no longer as brave as it once was. So Nick, behind the back of his boss (played by Harvey Keitel, the actor of "Reservoir Dogs" and "Bad Lieutenant"), sets up his own business and expands his territory, hoping to restore the glory of the past. With money in one hand and a beauty (played by Leighton Meester) in the other, Nick has no idea that he is walking on the edge of a dangerous cliff.
