Plot:
At the end of World War II in 1945, Mathilde, a female doctor of the French Red Cross, treated wounded soldiers in Warsaw. One night, she was invited to the monastery to treat a nun who was about to give birth. The doctor saw the horrifying truth when she entered the monastery. The monastery was invaded by the Soviet Red Army during the war, and many nuns were sexually assaulted and even pregnant. The nuns were not only traumatized mentally and physically, but their faith was also shaky. However, this scandal was not allowed to be made public... The film was directed by the famous European female director Anne Fontaine and received overwhelming praise at the Sundance Film Festival at the beginning of the year.
