The film tells the story of the bumpy life of Princess Deokhye, the daughter of King Gojong of Joseon and the last princess. Directed by Heo Jin-ho, Son Ye-jin plays the adult Princess Deokhye, Park Hae-il plays the independence activist, Kim So-hyun plays the teenage Princess Deokhye, and Kim Jae-wook plays Princess Deokhye's Japanese husband So Takeshi.
