Catherine Hardwicke, the director of Twilight, will direct Sony's new version of Miss Congeniality. The 2011 film Miss Congeniality represented Mexico in the 84th Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film. The story tells the story of a female model, Gloria (Gina Rodriguez), whose life is turned upside down after witnessing a gang crime.
