Paul, the mayor of Lyon, is feeling uneasy. After thirty years in politics, he feels that he has run out of new ideas and feels empty. His team decides to hire Alice, a brilliant philosopher, to help him solve this problem. This leads to a series of conversations between Alice and the mayor, which bring them into frequent contact and shake their beliefs.
