The film tells the story of a pair of brothers in New York, Vincent (Jesse Eisenberg) and Anton (Alexander Skarsgard), who are high-risk high-frequency trading operators. They dream of building a straight fiber optic cable from Kansas to New Jersey to make millions. However, their former boss Eva Torres, a powerful and extremely controlling woman, is pressing their plans, which are full of setbacks and challenges.
