Shun Oguri, Kenichi Matsuyama, Ann, Toru Nakamura, and Teruyuki Kagawa will star in the new TBS drama "Japan Sinks: Man of Hope" (日本沉亡-希望のひと-, tentative translation). The drama is a bold adaptation of "Japan Sinks" written by Sakyo Komatsu, and the script is written by Yuji Hashimoto ([底底辣妹]). Shun Oguri plays Amami, an ambitious official of the Ministry of the Environment of Japan, who has been promoting his policies by any means necessary, sometimes even by tough means. He attended the "Japan Future Promotion Association", which discussed the theory of Japan's sinking by the physicist played by Teruyuki Kagawa.
