Plot:
By chance, Hillary (Julia Roberts) got a job as a nurse for a millionaire named Victor (Campbell Scott). Victor had leukemia and needed chemotherapy. Under Hillary's careful care, his condition gradually improved, and a deep relationship developed between the two. One day, Victor suddenly took Hillary to a small town by the sea, where they spent a happy and warm time. The good times didn't last long. The recurrence of the disease made Victor fall into pain, and in order to conceal his illness, he began to secretly inject morphine for pain. Hillary discovered Victor's secret, and she was sad and begged him to continue treatment, but he refused. Is the disease really going to cruelly separate this pair of lovers who are in love with each other?
