The story takes place one year after the first film. Rookie policeman Ben (Kevin Hart) and his brother-in-law, veteran policeman James (Ice Cube) team up again and travel from Atlanta to Miami to solve a major drug case. Can the case be solved smoothly? Can Ben's wedding be held as scheduled?
