Allison Jenny, Annie Murphy ("Rich Man and Poor Man"), and Ben Platt will star in the wedding comedy "The People We Hate at the Wedding" (tentative translation). The film is directed by Claire Scanlan ("Fresh Off the Boat"), and the second season screenwriters of "Bob's Burgers" Lizzie Molyneux-Logelin and Wendy Molyneux co-wrote the script. The film is adapted from the novel of the same name written by Grant Kind and is expected to become another "Four Weddings and a Funeral". The story tells about a family that is not very harmonious. Because of a wedding, they are forced to get together, and their past estrangement is magnified bit by bit. These are also the problems that this family needs to solve on the road to reconciliation.
