Plot:
The story takes place in the Polish countryside in the early 20th century. The innocent and beautiful farm girl Jagna (Kamila Urzedowska) is like a flower blooming in the wilderness, attracting attention and being hated and beaten by harsh wind and frost. Jagna and the son of the rich farmer Borena (Miroslaw Baka) Anteke (Robert Gulaczyk) have a good impression of each other, but Anteke has a family and is rebellious, and has a bad relationship with his father. For the sake of interests, Borena decided to marry Jagna as his second wife, which directly intensified the conflict between father and son. After a conflict, Anteke and his wife and children were driven out of the house. On the other hand, Jagna was depressed and always loved Anteke in her heart, and this feeling finally connected them again. The film is adapted from the novel of the same name by Nobel Prize winner and famous Polish writer Władyslaw Leymont.
