This film tells the legendary life of the Colombian drug lord Pablo Escobar. It is adapted from the Spanish bestseller "Loving Pablo, Hating Escobar" by Virginia Vallejo, Escobar's lover for five years. It is directed by Fernando León de Aranoa and co-starred by the real-life couple Javier Bardem and Penelope Cruz.
