"New Youth" spans 20 years of Chinese history from 1907 to 1927. It tells the story of a group of self-reliant and responsible new youths such as Jiang Liu (played by Zhu Yawen), Wei Guo (played by Jiang Kai), Wang Ying (played by Qi Kui), and Zhou Lu (played by Liu Xiangjing), and their unswerving and unyielding journey in seeking welfare for the people, exploring ideals for the country, and finding a way out for the nation.
