The series is adapted from the podcast of the same name and tells the story of archivist Dan Turner (Mamoudou Athie) who accepted a mysterious job to restore a batch of damaged videotapes from 1994. He found that he was restoring the works of documentary maker Melody Pendras (Dina Shiwabi), which were about her investigation of a dangerous cult. When Dan was involved in Melody's story, he believed that he could save her from the terrible end 25 years ago.
