The story takes place in Heihu Town on the northeastern border during the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and before the start of the Sino-Soviet Zhenbao Island War after liberation. It revolves around Chinese and Soviet intelligence agents fighting wits and courage with the enemy, and the descendants of martyrs searching for traitors who betrayed their fathers in the underground organization of the Anti-Japanese United Army.
