In 1900, Empress Dowager Cixi was in power in Beijing and China was divided into pieces. Prince Duan insisted on sending troops and sent the Boxers to besiege foreign embassies. When the army was approaching the city, the American officers led the coalition forces of various countries to fight desperately and finally reversed their fate and broke out of the siege.
