Plot:
Ned (Bryan Cranston) is an old father in the traditional sense. He regards his daughter Stephanie (Zoey Deutch) as the meaning of life and the treasure in his hand. When the holiday comes, Ned is excited to take his family to Stanford where his daughter is, wanting to relive the long-lost family happiness. However, what Ned didn't expect was that his daughter's boyfriend Laird (James Franco) intervened and completely ruined this holiday trip. Laird is a Silicon Valley technology upstart who deals with the Internet and the latest technological equipment all day long. Everything he tinkers with all day is nothing short of a fantasy for the old-fashioned and conservative Ned, and Laird's poor speech and weirdness also exacerbate the rift between him and his future father-in-law.
