Hong Sang-soo, a famous Korean director who is good at exploring the emotional relationship between men and women with a minimalist approach, has let his muse Kim Min-hee retreat behind the scenes in his new work "Before You", and invited Korean film and television veteran actress Lee Hye-young to play a middle-aged woman who has re-adapted to life in Korea. She lives with her sister with a secret. She and a director meet at a small bar in an alley in Seoul. Just as the two of them are talking and drinking, a thunderstorm suddenly falls outside. Hong Sang-soo's seemingly daily behavior and charming dialogues, the interaction between men and women, unexpectedly bring out the life epiphany of aging and death.
