Craig Zahler and screened at the 74th Venice Film Festival as a non-competitive work. It was nominated for the Audience Choice Award in the "Midnight Madness" unit of the 42nd Toronto International Film Festival and the Best Thriller Film at the 44th Saturn Awards. The starring Vince Vaughn was nominated for the Best Actor at the same Saturn Awards.
