Plot:
"The Day a Country Goes Bankrupt" focuses on the Asian financial crisis in 1997. It tells the story of those who want to prevent the crisis and those who pursue profit in the week before the country goes bankrupt. Kim Hye-soo plays Han Shi-hyun, the head of the currency policy group of the Bank of Korea, who first foresaw the bankruptcy and began to look for countermeasures. Facing a complex system and power relations, the road ahead of her is full of difficulties; Yoo Ah-in plays Yoon Jung-hak, a financial genius who pursues profit in the crisis; French film actor Vincent Cassel will play the president of the IMF who secretly enters Korea.
