Morgan Freeman and Ruby Rose will star in the action thriller Vanquish. Directed by George Gallo (The Inbetweeners), Gallo and Samuel Bartlett wrote the screenplay. Freeman plays a retired police chief who blackmails his caretaker (Rose) by kidnapping her daughter, forcing her to help him deceive his corrupt police team in an attempt to clean up the city. The film has begun shooting in Biloxi, Mississippi.
