In 1161, the territory of the Song Dynasty was divided, and the Jin ruler Wanyan Liang invaded the Central Plains and wanted to invade the south again. The people of the Central Plains could not bear the harsh oppression and rose up to resist the Jin. Xin Qiji, who was only 21 years old, gathered the villagers to join a massive uprising army led by Geng Jing and made outstanding military achievements. In 1162, Xin Qiji, who advocated expelling the invaders, recovering the lost territory and achieving unification, was ordered to go south to persuade the Southern Song court to march north. When he returned after completing his mission, he saw the chaos of the rebel army after the commander Geng Jing was killed by a traitor. Driven by chivalry, anger and the intention of re-energizing the morale of the rebel army, Xin Qiji led more than 50 cavalrymen to raid the Jin army camp of tens of thousands of people, captured the traitor alive and returned south, writing a tragic and magnificent history.
