Lee Byung-hun, Ha Jung-woo, and Ma Dong-seok have confirmed their participation in the new film [Baeksan] (백두산, tentative translation). Details of the film are currently being adjusted. The film tells the story of people from all sides resisting the disaster when the volcano of Baeksan is about to erupt. Lee Byung-hun plays a North Korean personnel who prevents the volcano from erupting, while Ha Jung-woo plays a South Korean official and cooperates with Lee Byung-hun's character to fight. Ma Dong-seok plays a scientist. It is reported that the film will invest about 20 billion won and will start shooting early next year.
