Plot:
Season 2 is closely connected to Season 1, and the time nodes of the two are almost one year apart. The opening of Season 2 takes place on Halloween one year later, and the location is still the small town of Hawkins, Indiana. These little guys dress up as the Ghostbusters. The most eye-catching of the four cute children is definitely Will. At the end of the first season, he coughed and spit out a worm, which is obviously a foreshadowing for the subsequent plot. Matt Duffy, one of the producers, said: "He seems to be able to see the scenes of the Upside Down. The question is whether these scenes are real or fake? It seems that he is suffering from PTSD." At the same time, Joyce (Winona Ryder), who is overly worried and even a little neurotic, tries to stabilize the lives of her two sons. She starts dating her former high school classmate Bob (Sean Astin): "She tries to hide a lot of things. I think she decided to be with Bob because she wants to bring a good father into the lives of her children." Sheriff Hopper (David Harbour) has a lot of troubles to deal with. In the new season, he will try to calm the situation and protect Joyce and the children. Harbour said: "So Hopper's responsibility is to explain what happened and what didn't happen in an official capacity. He has to make compromises, tell some lies, and cover up some things, which makes him struggle." The mood of the brother and sister Nancy (played by Natalia Dell) and Mike has also changed a lot. Both of them lost a good friend (Barber and Eleven) in the last season, and they were also sad about it. Producer Ross Duffy said: "She and Mike are the saddest because they both lost their friends. They all need to work hard to get out, and we will see the results in Season 2." The biggest change in Season 2 comes from the new brother and sister Billy and Max. Max, a tomboy, quickly became a playmate with several boys and became the dream lover of Dustin and Lucas. Billy is a guy who is not easy to get along with. Matt Duffy hinted: "Stephen King is very good at portraying some human villains. The demons in real society are no less than those supernatural demons. We hope to introduce such a character." Foreign media had previously exposed the overview of two new characters, which coincided with Duffy's description. According to the previous character overview, Max is a tenacious and confident 13-year-old tomboy who looks, behaves and hobbies more like a boy than a girl. She has a complicated background and has a bad relationship with her stepbrother, which makes her more cautious in protecting her past and often suspicious of people around her. She is a skateboarder who likes to skate around everywhere; Billy is a muscular 17-year-old youth. He is irritable and aggressive, with superb charm, and there are even rumors that he has committed murders in the school he attended in the past. Billy likes to steal other people's girlfriends, often wins in drinking contests, and drives a handsome black Chevrolet Camaro. However, people around him, especially those younger than him, often observe his violent tendencies and erratic and unpredictable nature. Of course, "Stranger Things" is still "Stranger Things", and there will still be many supernatural problems. The cracks between the inner and outer worlds still exist, and the laboratory is now managed by the seemingly kind Dr. Owens. The Durfey brothers kept silent about the monsters in the new season, but they revealed that this season will show "different types of fear." In addition, Dustin will find a tadpole-like pet in Season 2. The actor Gaten Matarazzo said: "This is a little creature that I have a close connection with. It is obviously not from this planet or this plane."
