The play tells the story of the Japanese army's mopping-up operation in the mountainous area of southern Shandong in June 1939. Guard captain Zheng Shaojun rose up to fight against the Japanese and was involved in the mission of escorting confidential intelligence with the Eighth Route Army Du Juan to fight against the Japanese together.
