The drama is adapted from Shi Silang's best-selling novel of the same name. It mainly tells the story of Princess Yan Yan (played by Jiang Yiyi) of the Kingdom of Li, who came to Mount Katori after her country was destroyed and her family was ruined. She changed her appearance and went to find the ancient spiritual lamp in the name of Tan Chuan (played by Zhao Lusi), vowing to save the people of the world. Unbeknownst to her, the immortal Fu Jiuyun (played by Zheng Yecheng) had been waiting for her for a thousand years, and would sacrifice himself for her ideal.
