Gore (John Cusack) is a puppeteer who is good at operating puppets on the stage. Forced by life, he entered a New York company to do file management work. The company is on the seventh and a half floors of an office building. Since it is only half a floor high, the employees can only work with their backs bent. It was because of this that Gore accidentally discovered a door behind the company's file cabinet. Driven by curiosity, Gore entered the door. As soon as Gore entered the door, he was immediately sucked into it and flew through time and space into the brain of the famous actor John Malkovich. He found that he could now control John Malkovich's gaze at will and spy on all of John Malkovich's privacy. Fifteen minutes later, Gore was automatically bounced back to reality. This discovery made Gore very excited, and he decided to use this door to make a big business.
