Plot:
Debt-ridden, violence-ridden, dysfunctional families... In the abyss of despair, can they ignite their fighting spirit and strive for a seemingly unattainable victory? This drama depicts human nature in a bold and heart-wrenching way, describing the bad boy Kiyoshi Oze (played by Ichinose Wataru) who, when he was desperate, stepped into the sumo world under the name of "Saru Sakura" and became a sumo wrestler. Oze was passive and lazy, often skipped training, and loved to go against his predecessors, so he was regarded as a hopeless loser, but later he gradually became fascinated with sumo. This work delicately portrays human nature, focusing on Oze and a group of young people in the sumo circle, including Shimizu (played by Sometani Shota), who is clumsy and physically inferior, but dreams of becoming a "Senkori", and Kunishima Asuka (played by Kutsuna Shiori), a newspaper rookie who was "demoted" from political news to report sumo, to see how they overcome challenges and find their own world.
