Inio and Rosa were a newlywed couple. Unexpectedly, the Spanish Civil War broke out just a few months after their marriage. Inio was arrested by the Franco dictatorship as a pro-communist. On the way to be escorted, Inio managed to escape back home. In order to avoid being arrested again, Inio hid in his own cave for 30 years with the help of Rosa.
