Ewan McGregor, Shiloh Fernandez, and Val Kilmer will star in the new film The Birthday Cake. The story tells that Giovanni, played by Fernandez, reluctantly continued the family tradition of sending cakes to his uncle Angelo (played by Kilmer) on the 10th anniversary of his father's death. But Giovanni's life changed that night when he witnessed a murder and learned the truth about what happened to his father. This film is Jim Giannopoulos' directorial debut, adapted from his original story, and will start shooting in New York this fall.
