The play is set against the backdrop of the Huangpu River in Shanghai in 1928 and tells the touching stories of a group of heroes. In the play, Wei Zi plays a Shanghai tycoon, whose adopted daughter Wang Ruoshi, a wealthy girl who has returned from studying in France, learns that her father has died a violent death. She comes to Shanghai alone and enters her adoptive father's house, secretly searching for the murderer of her father. She inadvertently discovers the real story and engages in a heart-wrenching and heroic love affair with the murderer of her father. The whole play is centered on the emotional entanglement between Wang Ruoshi, her enemy, and her adoptive father.
