Based on the acclaimed Broadway play, the series follows Kendra Ellis-Connor (Emmy-nominated Kerry Washington), the mother of a missing teenager, as she struggles to recount her fragmented memories to a South Florida police station. Steven Pasquale, Jeremy Jordan and Yu-Jin Lee also reprise their roles in this adaptation, which presents four different points of view and the unique journey of an interracial couple raising a biracial son.
