A comedy about love, desire, and satisfaction. Emma Thompson plays Nancy Stokes, a 55-year-old widow who is desperate for adventure, human connection, and sex, and the first great sex in her life. Her husband Robert gave her a home, a family, and a decent life, but he is gone, and now Nancy feels that "even some nuns have a richer sex life than me." She has always been a doer and has been a teacher, so she is quite organized, so she immediately started to implement her plan: after doing some research, Nancy hired a 20-year-old psychosexual therapist Leo Grande to restart her understanding of her body.
